First Covid-19 case reported in Shangla, patient condition is stable. DC Shangla

SHANGLA: A patient belongs to Makhozi area of Puran tehsil in Shangla tested positive of Coronavirus here on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Shangla, Imran Hussain Ranjha, said while confirming the first coronavirus case in the district that the patient had a travel history of Lahore and recently came to Dunkacha village in Puran tehsil through Mardan.
He said, the patient condition was stable and isolated at THQ hospital in Puran, however, his family, wife, kids were also quarantined in the facility.

DC Shangla said the area has been sealed by deploying police and movement had been banned, while medical teams are present at the area for collecting samples from the family and relatives who had the patient came across.

He said, further arrangements were underway to stem the virus and kits supply is expected tonight would be provided to the THQ hospital Puran.

DC said safety of the paramedics staff was first priority, while those taken samples of the patient and met him would also be quarantined.
